What is CEREC

CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction and is a sophisticated system of designing that makes high quality, metal-free dental restorations in just one visit!

CEREC was developed by Sirona and pretty much the way it works is it utilizes 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to assist a dentist in designing a virtual restoration without taking impressions and, when combined with a milling unit, is able to build the actual restoration while you are still in the chair (pretty amazing, right?!)

You are a candidate for a CEREC if you have been told you need a new crown, inlay, onlay or bridge or if you have a cracked tooth, an old restoration that needs replacing or even a larger filling.

Patients benefit from CEREC as we are able to do same-day restorations on almost all procedures. The restorations look outstanding, last a long time, and are biocompatible and metal-free and are completed in just one visit!!
