Acidic Foods and your teeth
Oranges, Grapefruits, cranberries, coffee, alcohol, fruit juices are common foods and drinks that are acidic, which is why it is important to ensure that they don’t harm the enamel on your teeth.
When the acids in the food you eat and drink cause the enamel to wear away, tooth sensitivity can occur as a result. The teeth can also discolour.
Brushing after a meal is generally a good idea and making a habit of rinsing with water after acidic foods and drinks .
See your dentist if you are experiencing tooth sensitivity. Your dentist may need to fill erosion areas cause by acidic foods and will recommend a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. A diet low in acidic drinks and foods is advisable and drinking lots of water is always a great idea
